My New MacBook Pro!

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

I finally got a pure awesome laptop. It excites me to no end, yeah I sold out and didn’t get a cheap PC laptop but oh well. C’iest la vie!

On to the unboxing!

WE HAVE LIFT-OFF!!!!

My first impressions on….

The Keys
They aren’t as bad as I expected. It still is taking some getting used to, mainly since I am moving from the old scissor keys to the pretty lame chiclets. I really have no severe issue with them other than the spacing in between them is mighty odd.

The Trackpad
It’s awesome! Really, I like all the space I have now, feels more open. The click is a bit loud for my taste, sounds a bit intense. Not bad though.

The Screen
Glossy was something I really didn’t want at all. The viewing angle is pretty good, as for glaring there is some minimal glare but it hasn’t bothered me all that much. It looks pretty damn rich though and that is pretty good if you ask me. The black trim creates a nice contrast for the screen.

The Casing
I must say, it feels really solid. The new magnetic locking is beautiful, no more lopsided top shell. The case looks slim and solid. I really like the design.

I really can’t think of much else to say other than I realized I have some greasy fingers. :/ That might be a bad thing for black keys if you ask me.

A while ago I received a camera from a coworker and was really pumped about it. It’s one of those Lomography cameras that are geared for making trendy images and such, they do a great job at producing great effects with minimal effort. The only effort is taking the pictures.

Well, here are some pictures I have taken with the camera. I took these on a bike ride downtown with my lovely girlfriend.

And I’m Back!

Yes, I finally am back and going to be working on a few posts for Zamikazi. I have some tutorials in mind and just thought I should post them.

I recently learned a load of new techniques I think anyone out there can find useful. Like seriously, some are ridiculous, some useful, some boring.

Also, I will be posting exciting news about the multiple projects I am working on.

It feels good to be alive. :)
